Educational Requirements
According to the Vermont Department of Education:
The state of Vermont offer the following endorsements.

Vermont offers Special Educator (K-21) and Intensive Special Education Teacher (Age 3-21).
Students will need to obtain their Virginia license first to qualify for reciprocity.
Reciprocity
- Eligibility for licensure through the traditional route is determined by the completion of a state approved educator preparation program at a college or university through a bachelor, post-baccalaureate or master’s degree program and recommendation for licensure from the institution. Vermont currently has educator reciprocity with all states except: New York, New Mexico, and South Dakota.
- If you hold a valid, out-of-state, license from a state within the NASDTEC interstate agreement, you are eligible to receive a Level I Professional Educator’s License.
