Middle Education English (45 Hours) – District Of Columbia

Educational Requirements

According to the Office of the State Superintendent of Education:

District of Columbia offers the following endorsements.

  • District of Columbia offers Middle School English (4-8)

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

  1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu. 
  2. Students will need to obtain their Virginia license first to qualify for reciprocity.
  3. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for Virginia licensure.
  4. After obtaining a Virginia license students can then apply for a District of Columbia license through reciprocity.

Reciprocity

Applicants for a District of Columbia educator credential who hold an active full credential or license issued in another US state or territory may qualify for issuance of a DC credential based upon reciprocity. Reciprocity may only be applied during the applicant’s first application for a DC educator credential. Any subsequent issuances of DC educator credentials must be based upon satisfactory completion of District of Columbia-specific requirements.
