Bachelor of Science in Social Work – Puerto Rico

LU’s BSSW program offers all the courses and internships necessary to meet education requirements for licensure in Puerto Rico* for any of the following credentials. Students are encouraged to meet with their gate advisor by contacting bssw@liberty.edu for course selection and sequencing information to ensure they will meet the requirements for their specific license of choice.

Provisional Licensed Social Work Professional

• Exam Requirement: No exam required.
• Post-Degree Supervised Experience Requirement: No post-degree supervised experience required before licensure.
• Additional Requirements
  • Must be a legal resident of Puerto Rico.

Permanent Licensed Social Work Professional

• Exam Requirement: No exam required.
• Post-Degree Supervised Experience Requirement: The candidate must have completed at least three (3) years of satisfactory experience in social work in a recognized social work agency.
• Additional Requirements
  • Must be a legal resident of Puerto Rico.
