Bachelor of Science in Social Work – North Carolina
LU’s BSSW program offers all the courses and internships necessary to meet education requirements for licensure in North Carolina* for any of the following credentials. Students are encouraged to meet with their gate advisor by contacting bssw@liberty.edu for course selection and sequencing information to ensure they will meet the requirements for their specific license of choice.

Certified Social Worker (CSW)
- Exam Requirement: The candidate must pass an ASWB exam for the appropriate licensure level.
- Post-Degree Supervised Experience Requirement: No post-degree supervised experience required before licensure.

Certified Social Work Manager (CSWM)
- Exam Requirement: The candidate must pass an ASWB exam for the appropriate licensure level.
- Post-Degree Supervised Experience Requirement: In a period of no less than two (2) years but no more than six (6) years, the candidate must have completed at least 3,000 hours of Post-Degree experience in social work. This must be concurrent with a minimum of 100 hours of direct supervision at a rate of once every two (2) weeks, of which at least 50 hours must be individual, with a Social Work Administrator certified by the Board.
