Healthcare, Aging, & Medical Social Work – Illinois
LU’s BSSW program offers all the courses and internships necessary to meet education requirements for licensure in Illinois* for any of the following credentials. Students are encouraged to meet with their gate advisor by contacting bssw@liberty.edu for course selection and sequencing information to ensure they will meet the requirements for their specific license of choice.

Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
- Exam Requirement: No exam required.
- Post-Degree Supervised Experience Requirement: The candidate must have completed at least 3 years of post-degree professional experience in social work under the supervision of a certified social worker (CSW), a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), a licensed social worker (LSW), a diplomate in clinical social work, or a designated of ACSW. This must be concurrent with a minimum rate of four (4) hours of direct supervision per month.
