School Guidance Counselor Certificate  

South Carolina requires that applicants for this certificate have

• A bachelor’s degree

• A master’s degree in any subject
• Completion of an advanced program approved by the State Board of Education for the preparation of school counselors. Degrees must come from a regionally accredited college or university.
