Reading Specialist Endorsement – Oklahoma

Educational Requirements

According to the Oklahoma Department of Education

The state of Oklahoma offers the following endorsements

  • Oklahoma offers Reading Specialist. 

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

  1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu. 
  2. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to add on the Reading Specialist endorsement to Virginia licensure.
  3. After obtaining a Virginia license with the Reading Specialist Add-On,  students can then apply for an Oklahoma license through reciprocity.

Reciprocity 

If you hold a full teaching credential issued by any state’s Department of Education, you are eligible for certification in Oklahoma’s most equivalent subject areas.
