Reading Specialist Endorsement – New Jersey

Educational Requirements

According to the New Jersey Department of Education:

The state of New Jersey offers the following endorsements.

• New Jersey offers Reading Specialist Certification (3310).

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu.
2. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to add on the Reading Specialist endorsement to the Virginia license. 
3. After obtaining a Virginia license with the Reading Specialist Add-On, students can then apply for a New Jersey license through reciprocity. 

Reciprocity

Educators from other states seeking New Jersey certification via reciprocity must hold the equivalent type and subject area/grade level out-of-state license.
