Math Specialist Endorsement – Utah

Educational Requirements

According to the Utah State Board of Education:

The state of Utah offers the following endorsements.

• Utah offers a Math Specialist endorsement. 

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu. 
2. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to add on the Math Specialist endorsement to Virginia licensure.
3. After obtaining a Virginia license with the Math Specialist Add-On, students can then apply for a Utah license through reciprocity.

Reciprocity

Utah does not offer reciprocity with any state. In most cases, educators who hold a professional license in another state will be granted the nearest equivalent license. Every candidate will need to complete an application and follow the steps located in the License Equivalency Review Application Checklist.  The Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact allows teachers with professional level licenses in other Compact states to obtain a Utah license without completing additional requirements.
