Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)
- Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu.
- Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for a Virginia license and add on the Administration and Supervision endorsement.
- After obtaining a Virginia license with the Administration and Supervision Add-On, students can then apply for an Arizona Certification through reciprocity.
Reciprocity
The Arizona Department of Education Certification Unit will reciprocate with all states and may issue a comparable teaching, administrative, or professional non-teaching certificate to an applicant who holds a valid, comparable certificate in another state and is in good standing in that other state.
Applicants may also qualify to add additional approved areas or endorsements to existing teaching certificates if they hold a valid, comparable approved area or endorsement in another state. Individuals who qualify under Certification Reciprocity Rules are exempt from Arizona educator exam requirements.
The Standard Professional Principal Certificate is required for all personnel who hold the title of Principal, Assistant Principal, or perform the duties of Principal or Assistant Principal as delineated in Title 15 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. The certificate is valid for 12 years and is renewable. To qualify for this certificate, applicants must meet the Coursework, Experience, and Exam Requirements.
