Educational Requirements
According to the Virginia Department of Education:
The state of Virginia offers the following endorsements:

Virginia offers Building Level Administrator.
A current initial teaching license and the accompanying two years of experience with that license is necessary before beginning this program. Students will be required to complete program coursework (including internship), the passing of licensure tests, and a third year of experience.
During Degree Program
Students will need to successfully pass:
- Gate 1
- Gate 2
- Gate 3
The licensure requirements for each of these Gates can be found in the Licensure Resource Community. This link is only accessible for students actively enrolled in a licensure program.
After Degree Conferral
- Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu.
- Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for Virginia licensure.
