Educational Requirements

According to the Oklahoma Department of Education

The state of Oklahoma offers the following endorsements

• Biological Sciences

• Business Education

• Chemistry (6-12)

• Computer Science

• Engineering: Technology Engineering

• English

• Family & Consumer Science

• Health & Physical Education: Physical Education/Health/Safety

• Mathematics

• Music: Choral: Vocal/General Music

• Music: Instrumental: Instrumental/General Music

• Physics (6-12)

• Physics Education: Earth Science (5-12)

• Social Studies

• Spanish: Foreign Languages (K-12)

• TESL

• Theatre Arts: Speech/Drama/Debate

• Visual Arts

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu. 
2. Students will need to obtain their Virginia license first to qualify for reciprocity.
3. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for Virginia licensure.
4. After obtaining a Virginia license students can then apply for an Oklahoma license through reciprocity.

Reciprocity 

If you hold a full teaching credential issued by any state’s Department of Education, you are eligible for certification in Oklahoma’s most equivalent subject areas.
