Preschool – Oklahoma

Educational Requirements

According to the Oklahoma Department of Education

The state of Oklahoma offers the following endorsements

  • Oklahoma offers Early Childhood (PK-3rd Grade).

Candidates must be enrolled elementary education or special education licensed programs. Candidates must also pass the Oklahoma subject area test.

Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)

  1. Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu. 
  2. Students will need to obtain their Virginia license first to qualify for reciprocity.
  3. Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for Virginia licensure.
  4. After obtaining a Virginia license students can then apply for an Oklahoma license through reciprocity.

Reciprocity 

If you hold a full teaching credential issued by any state’s Department of Education, you are eligible for certification in Oklahoma’s most equivalent subject areas.
