Marriage & Family Therapy – Nebraska
Certified Marriage and Family Therapist (CMFT)
Nebraska requires that applicants for this licensure have COAMFTE-aligned additional Marriage and Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Human Development classes that Liberty University does not offer.
Nebraska requires a COAMFTE accredited program or related field (counseling) including the following:
- 9 hours in marriage and family studies
- 9 hours marriage and family therapy
- 9 hours human and family development
- 3 hours in professional studies
- 3 hours in research
- 6 semester hours of practicum that includes 300 direct hours with 150 only at the individual level (other 150 couple and family)
