Marriage & Family Therapy – Hawaii
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Hawaii requires that applicants for this licensure have COAMFTE-aligned additional Marriage and Family Studies, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Human Development classes that Liberty University does not offer.
Hawaii requires applicants to have courses in the following areas:
- Marriage and family studies (9 graduate semester hours)
- Marriage and family therapy (9 graduate semester hours)
- Human development (9 graduate semester hours)
- Ethical & Professional Studies (3 graduate semester hours)
- Research (3 graduate semester hours)
Applicants must complete a one-year practicum within master’s or doctoral degree program, with at least 300 supervised client contact hours.
