Marriage & Family Therapy – Connecticut

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Liberty University lacks one class in the foundations of Marital and Family Systems. Connecticut also requires an identifiable core of full-time marital and family therapy faculty.

Connecticut requires that applicants for this licensure have a graduate degree program specializing in marital and family therapy from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), and a supervised practicum or internship with an emphasis in marital and family therapy, supervised by either the program granting the requisite degree, or by an accredited postgraduate clinical training program which is approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
