Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Ohio requires that applicants for this licensure have a master’s degree from a clinical mental health counseling program, clinical rehabilitation counseling program, or addiction counseling program accredited by the council for accreditation of counseling and related educational programs “CACREP.” The practicum must be 100 hours, with 40 hours being direct client contact. The internship requirements are 600 hours, 240 of which are direct contact hours.
