Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Mississippi requires that applicants for this licensure have a 60-semester hour master’s degree in counseling, or a doctoral or educational specialist degree primarily in a counseling, guidance, or related field, which meets similar standards as specified in .2.C Rules and Regs. Applicants must complete the Supervised Experience Hours (See 4.3 Rules and Regs) and pass either the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Exam (NCMHCE).
