Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP) – Arkansas

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Arkansas requires that applicants for this licensure have a master’s degree with a minimum of 60 graduate hours, practicum, and internship. The practicum must have a minimum of 100 hours, including 40 hours direct service with clients. The internship(s) must have a minimum of 600 supervised hours begun after the completion of the practicum, including 240 hours of direct service with clients.

Additional Requirements

Students must take CEFS 631 as an elective in the CMHC program. It will meet the 1-hour telehealth course requirement for licensure with the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling.
