District of Columbia offers Principal/Assistant Principal Certification.
Additional Requirements (After Degree Conferral)
- Please submit all licensure documents (located on the Gate 4 Checklist) to gate4@liberty.edu.
- Gate 4 will complete a College Verification Form which will be used to apply for Virginia licensure.
- Students will be required to pass approved exams.
- After obtaining a Virginia license with the Administration and Supervision Add-on, students can then apply for a District of Columbia license through reciprocity.
Reciprocity
Applicants for a District of Columbia educator credential who hold an active full credential or license issued in another US state or territory may qualify for issuance of a DC credential based upon reciprocity. Reciprocity may only be applied during the applicant’s first application for a DC educator credential. Any subsequent issuances of DC educator credentials must be based upon satisfactory completion of District of Columbia-specific requirements.
