Addiction Counseling – South Carolina

Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)

South Carolina requires applicants for this licensure have a master’s with a minimum of 48 credit hours in counseling, a one hundred (100) hour counseling practicum, and a six hundred (600) hour internship. A Human Growth and Development course and a Career Theory course are also required. Students can take ADCN 694 to meet additional field hours, FSPC 502 to meet the Human Growth and Development requirement, and COUC 522 to meet the Career Theory requirement.
