Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
Nebraska requires that applicants for this licensure have an official school/college/university transcript or training verification that shows 270 hours of education.
Required Coursework
- Counseling Theories and Techniques (45 hours)
- Group Counseling (45 hours)
- Human Growth and Development (30 hours)
- Professional Ethics and Issues (15 hours)
- Alcohol/Drug Assessment, Case Planning and Management (30 hours)
- Multicultural Counseling (30 hours)
- Medical and Psychosocial Aspects of Alcohol/Drug Use, Abuse and Addiction (45 hours)
- Clinical Treatment Issues in Chemical Dependency (30 hours)
Additional Requirements
Applicants must take CEFS 502 Human Growth and Development as an elective.
