Addiction Counseling – North Dakota

Licensed Master Addiction Counselor (LMAC)

North Dakota requires applicants for this licensure have a master’s in addiction studies. A Psychopharmacology course is required but not included in this program. Students can take ADCN 606 as an elective to meet this requirement. A Lifespan Development course is also required, which can be met by taking FSPC 502 as an elective. Students will need to take two semesters of internship (ADCN 693 and 694) to fulfill 700 hours of clinical training.
