Addiction Counseling – Mississippi
Certified Addictions Therapist (CAT)
Mississippi requires that applicants for this licensure have a graduate-level degree (master’s level or above) in a mental health-related field. The degree must be from an approved educational institution (as defined and determined by DMH) and must be comprised of at least 30 semester hours or its equivalent.
Additional Requirements
Applicant must be currently employed in Mississippi’s “state mental health system,” as defined in the Rules and Requirements document.
