Addiction Counseling – Massachusetts
Licensed Alcohol/Drug Counselor (LADC-I)
Massachusetts requires that applicants for this licensure have a master’s degree in behavioral sciences with 18 graduate semester hours in counseling, 260 hours in alcohol and drug education, and 10 hours in ethics education.
Certified Alcohol/Drug Counselor – Advanced Level (CADC-II)
Massachusetts requires that applicants for this licensure have a master’s degree in counseling or a closely related field with 174 hours in alcohol and drug education and 6 hours in ethics education.
Addictions Counseling degree meets both LADC-I and CADC-II requirements.
