What Will You Learn in Our Theatre Ministries Focused Music and Worship Degree?

Take an in-depth look at theatre’s history, techniques, and management with our theatre ministries specialization. Your courses will examine the history of drama starting back in Ancient Greece. You will also develop an understanding of playwriting techniques by creating a one-act play made for church performance.

You will complete a stage management and directing course in our theatre ministries degree. Understanding the fundamentals of both stage management and directing is very important to your future ministry performances. You also have the opportunity to complete either an acting class or a theater practicum.

Music and Worship Courses

Aside from your theatre ministries courses, the majority of your degree is comprised of music and worship courses. You will gain a strong foundational knowledge in harmonic practices and theory, musicianship, creative worship, music production, audio engagement, basic conducting, and worship choir. Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
