Justin Allen

Dept: Enrollment Management
Title: Online Academic Standing Consultant

Over the past several weeks, Justin Allen has worked beyond his scheduled shift to make sure that his students needs are met and addressed. Justin is the perfect example of a team player. He has willingly assisted other university offices in helping make sure that tasks are completed and even helping complete tasks for employees who were out for Christmas vacation. Justin also regularly proposes ideas to help improve efficiency within business processes.

Kaitlyn Bare

Dept: Auxiliary Services
Title: Snowflex Student Supervisor

Kaitlyn Bare is a senior nursing student at Liberty. She is also a full-time Student Supervisor at Snowflex. She not only works 35-40 hours a week while attending school, but she also comes in on days off to help other departments. She is always here to assist the team at with events, and works to serve the student workers, other managers and customers. She is always smiling and has a phenomenal work ethic. She truly represents the school's slogan for employees “changing lives!” She has worked here for over two years, starting as a part-time employee and worked her way up to full-time management.

Marquette Brandon

Dept: Field Operations
Title: Horticulture Supervisor

Marq Brandon has served in the Grounds Department since 1990. Like the Grounds Department, Marq has grown during his tenure with Liberty. Today Marq is the Supervisor of the Horticultural Division of the Grounds Department. Marq is responsible for pruning, mulching, landscape designs and annual plantings around campus that give curb appeal to the university. His creativity and unique use of color draws attention to landscape all over university grounds. Through his willingness to serve, Marq is a vital part of the Grounds Department. He works alongside his team every day and always has a smile on his face, even during the most challenging of tasks. Marq exemplifies a Christ-like attitude, specifically in putting others first.

Kevin Clark

Dept: New Media Communications
Title: Master Control Operator

Kevin came to Liberty in 1990 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree and graduated in 1995. Before coming to work for the Liberty Channel, Kevin worked in customer service for 10 years. Kevin has worked for the Liberty Channel since 2006 as a Master Control Operator, editor and archivist. He is actively involved as a volunteer at Heritage Baptist Church in their bookstore/library, media ministry and as director of the AWANA Cubbies. Kevin and his wife have two sons and he enjoys playing games with his family, watching movies, cooking and reading.

Ruth Ferrell

Dept: Academics
Title: Assistant to the Dean, College of General Studies

Ruth has been a long-time servant of the university. She possesses an impressive knowledge base and skill set. More importantly, Ruth does everything with a great attitude. Her friendly and caring presence in the office makes the College of General Studies (CGS) a better place, and her servant’s attitude helps her to meet the needs of CGS faculty and students. We are grateful to have Ruth working with us in CGS!

Christi Gee

Dept: Marketing Department
Title: Marketing Manager

Christi is a Marketing Manager in the Office of Promotional Publications and oversees the Alumni, Athletics, Chancellor and Development accounts. She has made an incredible impact and has a positive influence in the OPP office in her short time here so far. Her optimistic attitude and upbeat outlook on all situations is both contagious and encouraging to her fellow employees. Christi always goes above and beyond what is asked of her often staying late and coming in early to make sure things are completed on time. She has a love and passion for people that is unparalleled. She is a prayer warrior for our office, her team, and the university’s leadership. It is a privilege to have her working in the Office of Promotional Publications.

Cheryl Gray

Dept: Registrar
Title: Transfer Credential Evaluator

Cheryl Gray serves in the role of Transfer Credential Evaluator, assisting our students in achieving their educational goals. She came to us after serving as a missionary, bringing her talents of administration and experience to our office. Her desire for efficiency sparked her drive to improve her own skills in technology, and she is now called on to assist in numerous tasks related to technology and streamlining current procedures. While she has served in several roles in the Registrar’s Office, her faithfulness and commitment to excellence has remained steady. Cheryl is not only known for being a hard worker, but also as a person who loves God, has a heart for ministry and loves to share Christ.

Melanie Hicks Ph.D.

Dept: Academics
Title: Online Chair

Melanie has worked tirelessly to integrate the assessment of online and residential programs for the School of Business and has ensured that the reports for the ACBSP accreditation accurately portray processes and procedures. Melanie has also been able to harness faculty effort to ensure effective program assessment and evaluation. Melanie’s support and focus on the mission and goals of the School of Business are the reasons she has been selected as the Employee of the Month.

Justin Kintzel

Dept: Faith & Service
Title: Worship Pastor/Creative Arts Director

Justin Kintzel is the Worship Pastor in the Office of Spiritual Programs. He is responsible for the Campus Praise Band, the creative and musical elements that go into all of the Convocation and Church services at the university, and is also an accomplished videographer and photographer whose work has been featured in numerous Liberty events, including the annual Christmas Convocation (which he also supervises, writes and produces).

Eddie Lovelace

Dept: Information Technology
Title: Manager, Verification and Testing

Eddie is a dedicated team and spiritual leader responsible for coordinating software deployments and has made extraordinary efforts while working with the Operations Division of Information Technology (IT) to improve the deployment process. He gives his team the empowerment to take responsibility and ownership of their tasks.

Richard Martin

Dept: Finance & Administration
Title: Vice President, Financial Research & Analysis

Richard Martin has been a dedicated and instrumental figure in Liberty University’s Finance Department for nine years. He is a key figure in determining the financial and logistical feasibility of new initiatives, and has contributed immensely to the planning and execution of Liberty’s recent growth. Richard is constantly called on to provide invaluable expertise and insights to the university’s senior management, and was most recently instrumental in the exhaustive analytics and data preparation related to Liberty’s two successful bond offerings. Richard, an avid runner, and his wife Jennifer recently welcomed their first child into their family. His contribution to Liberty has positively impacted every person on campus.

Hollis McGarity

Dept: Development
Title: Administrative Assistant II

Hollis is the smiling face that greets our Development Call Center staff, agents and visitors every day. She performs many office tasks including dispositioning of calls, schedule changes of our student agents and performing everyday tasks which keep our office running smoothly. Her love and compassion for the students is evident in her daily concern for them. Hollis fills the role of "mother" to all in our department with her nurturing heart. She promotes an attitude of accountability with our agents. Hollis is a dedicated employee whose love for Liberty has been evident in her eight years of service here. We count it our privilege to work with Hollis.

Amanda Melton

Dept: Academics
Title: Administrative Faculty Support Coordinator

Amanda has been part of the Liberty staff since 2005 and is a key member of the seminary team, coordinating administrative/operational support areas for the online program. Over the past year, Amanda has been instrumental in developing systems designed to increase the effectiveness of the online environment including a Course Design Tracker for online courses, a SharePoint site for online faculty communication, coordination and training, and a social media site for online faculty-to-faculty interaction. Amanda works closely with the seminary’s Department Chairs and Associate Dean in an ongoing focus to achieve internal and university-wide goals. She is highly valued and appreciated, and the seminary is blessed to have her.

Adedamola Onafowokan

Dept: Student Affairs
Title: Administrative Assistant to the Director of Center4ME

Adedamola “Dammy” Onafowokan has been a diligent employee of Liberty since 2007. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the Center for Multicultural Enrichment (Center4ME) as the son of a diplomat and a teacher, and having lived all over the world. Dammy graduated from Liberty in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications specializing in Graphic Design and received a minor in Spanish. He is currently working on his Master’s in Human Services. Dammy is an excellent communicator who works above and beyond the call of duty for the university and you can always count on him for an A+ effort. He is truly appreciated for fulfilling many responsibilities in the Center4ME office.

Stephen Parke

Title: Associate Dean of the Helms School of Government & Associate Professor of Criminal Justice

Dr. Stephen Parke is being selected to recognize the extraordinary commitment he routinely shows to the university, his profession and his brothers and sisters in Christ. Parke provides students, faculty and staff with an example of honor, diligence and Christ-like servant leadership. Often arriving early and staying late, Parke ensures that the needs of our students are met. It is a pleasure to select him as Employee of the Month.

Paul Rutigliano

Dept: Liberty Flames
Title: Assistant Athletics Director for Football Administration

Paul handles the day to day operations of the football program. He has done a great job assisting with the transition of the new football staff. We greatly appreciate his hard work and attitude in helping Coach Gill and his new staff get off to a good start.
