Overview:

Tonight we unpacked Psalm 23 the “Shepherds Psalm”, a personal love letter that The Good Shepherd has written to us. We see it revealed in scripture that Jesus is the Good Shepherd.

There were 9 Revelations we can take away from Psalm 23

Possession – The Lord is my shepherd;
Posture – I shall not want.
Pace – He makes me lie down in green pastures.
Peace – He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.
Plan – He leads me in paths of righteousness
Perspective – for his name’s sake.
Protection – Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Provision – You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Prosperity – Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever
The Good Shepherd is the lamb that was slain for you so that you may be forgiven of your sins and given the free gift of eternal life. When you take Jesus out of your life and you self shepherd you will fall short every time. The only shepherd that will never let you down is Jesus. Trust that God is enough for your life.
