Welcome to the CSER course path for the School of Aeronautics. Below you can find organizations recommended by Aeronautics faculty uniquely suited for aviation students. For more information about these organizations or for help registering for CSER, please email email@example.com.
Freshmen & Sophomore
Freshman and Sophomore Aeronautics students are encouraged to engage local organizations through service. They are expected to familiarize themselves with LU and Lynchburg culture as well as meet the needs of the surrounding community.
Find an area that fits your passions and start serving! Work with young people, poverty alleviation, campus ministries, and SGA clubs. Serve with Scaremare, international missions, or prison ministry. The organizations listed here are recommended by your Aeronautics faculty.
Junior & Senior
Upperclass Aeronautics students can serve alongside faculty as tour guides for visitors and/or aviation conferences, as well as represent SOA at other approved aviation-related events. SOA Ambassadors are student leaders having completed one semester of CSER with CSER 334. They may request an interview for approval as a SOA ambassador. Students can also pursue leadership in the SOAR Club and High Flight Mentoring as well as serve in special projects at regional airports.
