Liberty University continues to hold its ranking as No. 2 among top online and nontraditional colleges in the 2013 Best for Vets student survey conducted by “Military Times Edge.”
Liberty was also ranked top among selected Virginia schools. The rankings are based on feedback and critiques from current students, and are comprised of basic criteria such as financial assistance, academic flexibility, accreditation, and support services.
Liberty is recognized among the country's top military-friendly schools, largely because their efforts are aimed at meeting the specific educational needs of service members. Nearly one-third of Liberty students are service members, veterans, or military spouses, representing all branches of the U.S. armed forces.
Liberty is proud to support the nation’s military by preparing men and women for a military career and a promising future. Liberty provides service members with tuition discounts, fee waivers, book vouchers, and the services of a dedicated Office of Military Affairs. Liberty also offers the Heroes Fund Scholarship for veterans wounded in the Gulf Wars, as well as spouses of those who lost their lives during those conflicts.
Liberty also received a No. 2 Best for Vets ranking in 2012.
