In June, elementary education major, Paula Harman of Baytown, Texas was the 80,000th student to enroll with Liberty University Online. Married with three sons, one in college and two in high school, Harman currently teaches at a private Christian school. Harman said she looks forward to taking it slowly as she gets used to her coursework load.
“Once I receive my degree, I will still be teaching at the same school,” Harman said. “My school is in the process of seeking accreditation and having a degree will be very beneficial.”
In celebration of this 80,000 milestone, the university awarded Harman a free course to be taken this fall. As a mother and teacher, Harman says the decision to enroll with Liberty Online was in large part due to the flexibility of online classes.
“The flexibility will make my life a whole lot easier.” Harman said. “I love being able to sit down, anytime during the day and attend to my schoolwork.”
Liberty Online continues to provide quality, Christian higher education to the online community. The university continues its strong emphasis on high academic excellence and services while constantly improving its course offerings to meet the needs students face in the marketplace.
