Video contest captures flexible lifestyle
October 13, 2010 | Paul McLinden
At Liberty University Online, we often hear students say they like the flexibility and convenience of online learning. But the best part is hearing what that flexibility and convenience allows them to do — apart from school.
Now students have a chance to document their “offline” life with the Capture the Moment video contest through LU Online. Whether students are traveling cross country, serving overseas or raising children right at home, their stories are testimonies and are encouraging to others.
To prove that online schooling truly is a way of life, LU Online is asking students to create a short video that conveys what they do — not in school, but outside of school — with their flexible schedule. In effect, videos should say, “Because I study online, I have been able to …”
Winning entries may be used in an upcoming advertising campaign for the school.
The stakes are high, as the winner of the contest will walk away with a one-year tuition scholarship for Liberty University Online valued at up to $15,000.
The contest is open to all current students, and runs until Jan. 31, 2011.
