For 16-year-old Taylor Boswell, Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA) is the ideal alternative to the typical classroom. The teenager can now pursue her acting, modeling and singing career while doing all her schoolwork online through a fully accredited institution.
"Liberty University Online Academy has been a perfect fit with my hectic schedule. Working in the entertainment industry requires flexibility in my daily routine,” she said.
Boswell has appeared three times on One Life to Live on ABC, was recently filmed for an upcoming Celebrity Apprentice on NBC and is currently featured in a Nickelodeon promotional television commercial. She also landed the lead role in a full-length feature film, Windjammers, and spent a summer filming in the Bahamas.
Boswell splits her time between New York City, where she has joined Shirley Grant Management, and her hometown of Bowling Green, Ky.
Actors, Models and Talent for Christ (AMTC) lists Boswell as one of its top 100 success stories. She won AMTC’s winter 2009 Acting, Modeling & Talent Competition Overall Best Actress award.
Boswell said her schoolwork is a top priority and she is glad LUOA has allowed her to still pursue her passion for acting.
“I am so grateful to have found a program such as LUOA,” she said. “The courses offered are interesting and fun. The teachers and faculty are very encouraging.”
Liberty University Online Academy is Liberty University’s most recent online education venture for grades 3-12. The program is receiving increased recognition as a quality option for parents seeking Christian online homeschooling for their children. The program offers students the flexibility needed to complete their scholastic requirements in preparation for college.
LUOA has been granted full accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
