Credit that transfers as 1XX, 2XX, 3XX, or 4XX means that while your class transferred to Liberty University, it did not match a specific class currently offered at Liberty. The 1XX, 2XX classes transfer as lower-level credit, while 3XX, 4XX transfer as upper-level credit. Both types of credit will count toward your overall degree. Also, these transfer course(s) may meet some of your general education course requirements. Please refer to your degree plan for details.
If you believe the course is 80% equivalent to Liberty's course, you may appeal the evaluation by completing a Transfer Evaluation Inquiry Form and submitting a course description or syllabus of the particular class(es) in question.
If you know that the course is not 80% equivalent, but it should still be able to satisfy a particular course requirement on your degree plan, you may complete a Course Substitution Form submit a syllabus of the particular class(es) in question.
A General Education (Gen Ed) class is a required course that all students pursuing a bachelor's degree must complete. Learn more about the Approved General Education Courses.

Yes, If you feel that you have a strong background of knowledge in specific areas, you can take advantage of Insitutional Challenge Exams (ICE), DSST Exams, or the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams. If you successfully pass these exams, you will receive credit toward your degree. Please note: CLEP exams are not available for graduate students.
