First and Second Corinthians contain some of Paul’s most extensive instructions relating to life in the local church as well as some of his most detailed treatment of several foundational Christian doctrines such as the resurrection. It is important that students be aware of the key theological contributions of the Corinthians as well as the many issues, problems, and areas of concerns that have faced Christian scholars in the study of these epistles.
