Course Description

This course is designed to provide the student with practical experience in the planning and implementation of a major music education project. This is the completion of the research and curriculum project begun in MUSC 650. In the course, students focus on the development of a site-specific music curriculum, including the plans for implementation and assessment of the project.

Rationale

An important part of a master’s degree is the completion of a capstone project. Under the direction of a project advisor, the master’s candidate completes a project manuscript, project defense, and final document submission.

Final Document Submission Assignment

The only required assignment for this course is the submission of the final document that has been fully edited and approved as part of the thesis defense process. The candidate's document must meet the requirements of the School of Music Thesis Handbook as well as the requirements of Turabian style.
