Course Description

This course will focus on students completing a comprehensive exam, preparing a Concept Paper, and preparing students for their applied doctoral research project. (Formerly BUSI 785)

Rationale

BUSI 885 serves as the bridge course for the DBA Program, providing the necessary steps and activities needed to transition from the taking of courses to the production of a doctoral‐level research project. As such, it is not a capstone course, but a bridge course.

Measurable Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Develop a Problem Statement for a viable Doctoral Level Research Project based upon current literature.
  2. Develop a viable Doctoral Level Research Concept related to the student’s cognate.
  3. Integrate the Christian worldview with the practice of business research.
