Course Description

Introduction to the tools used to create mobile and desktop web messages/content in the industry. Students will learn app and web development and create professional-level projects.

Rationale

Understanding the proper Content Management Systems tools and web application builders for mobile and desktop are essential when designing and developing an app/website. Students will explore the many benefits of using WordPress to build complex solutions.

Discussions (8)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be at least 150 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. At least one biblical reference must be included in each thread. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to at least 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 75 words.

WordPress Assignments (6)

The student will set up a website using WordPress.com, and will submit progress and proof of concepts/prototypes with specific guidelines related towards completing the project.

WordPress Project Final Assignment

The student will create a working website using WordPress.com and a selected theme on a hosted/live platform with a domain name extension to develop a multipage responsive layout website communicating a certain message utilizing a variety of plugins.
