Deck the campus: Christmas events begin at Liberty this week
On Monday night, hundreds of Liberty University students gathered on the Academic Lawn and counted down as Student Activities hosted its annual “Christmas in Lights” event. When the countdown reached “one,” the campus Christmas tree lit up as students cheered and holiday lights illuminated the lawn.
Students enjoyed doughnuts, cookies, hot chocolate, and live music at the tree lighting. It was also a chance for students to give back to those in need by donating canned and nonperishable food items and winter clothes.
Liberty President Jerry Falwell and his wife, Becki, met with students and posed for pictures.
