Rashad Jennings, Guy Penrod, Tim Lee to take Convocation stage

Next week, Liberty University will welcome a prominent pastor, a Purple Heart recipient, an award-winning singer, and a former NFL running back for the final week of Convocations for the Spring semester.

Monday, April 30:

Clayton King is the founder and president of Crossroads Summer Camps, Crossroads Missions, and Clayton King Ministries. King serves as the teaching pastor at NewSpring Church in Anderson, S.C. He has been in ministry for 30 years and has authored 14 books.

Wednesday, May 2:

Vietnam Marine Corps veteran Tim Lee received the Purple Heart for his service after losing his legs in combat. Lee is an evangelist and a member of Liberty’s Board of Trustees.

Guy Penrod is a Grammy Award- and Dove Award-winning artist, as well as a Liberty alumnus.

Friday, May 4:

Convocation will close out for the semester on the campus lawn behind Montview Student Union with special guest Rashad Jennings (’09), a Liberty alumnus and former NFL running back who has played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Oakland Raiders, and, most recently, the New York Giants. Last year, Jennings won the Mirror Ball Trophy on ABC’S “Dancing With the Stars.” Jennings will be promoting his first book, “The IF in Life,” which will be available for pre-release purchase following Convocation. He will be doing a book signing at the Liberty University Barnes & Noble Bookstore at 6 p.m.
