Swimmers Finnigan, Andrew prepare for U.S. Olympic Trials

Liberty University women’s swimmer Alicia Finnigan has qualified to compete in the 200-meter butterfly at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, to be held June 26 through July 3 at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.
Finnigan, a rising sophomore from Sugar Land, Texas, earned her spot in Omaha by swimming a time of 2 minutes, 14.05 seconds in the 200 fly at The Poseidon Last Chance Invitational in Richmond, Va., last weekend. She met the U.S. Olympic Trials standard of 2:14.99. Seeded 67th, she will be vying for one of 26 total spots on the U.S. women's swimming team for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.
