Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) will give the keynote address before more than 10,000 students at Liberty University’s Convocation — the largest weekly gathering of Christian young people in the nation — on Wednesday, April 16.
President Jerry Falwell will also give brief remarks and introduce Bachmann.
Bachmann visited Liberty in September 2011 during her campaign as a presidential candidate for the GOP primary. In 2006, she became the first Republican woman to be elected to represent Minnesota in the U.S. House of Representatives. Bachmann is a self-proclaimed “constitutional conservative” who is committed to advocating for adherence to the Constitution and is a champion for tax reform, limited government, and fiscal responsibility.
