Liberty University's Board of Trustees met on campus Tuesday and received a full report on how the university is doing academically, spriritually and financially. "We had a wonderful day yesterday," LU Chancellor and President Jerry Falwell Jr. announced at Wednesday's convocation service. The late Rev. Jerry Falwell was enthralled with Lynchburg’s Montview, also known as the Carter Glass Mansion. Falwell had a love for Virginia’s history. For years, the two-story stone structure at the center of the Liberty University campus served as office space for LU’s chancellor and president.

Dr. Ergun Caner guest on national call-in radio show

Dr. Ergun Caner, president of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, was a guest on "The Rick and Bubba Show,” a nationwide radio call-in show, on Feb. 28. From their recording studio in Birmingham, AL, Caner discussed world religions and talked about the Seminary’s degree programs, including the development of a PhD in Theology and Apologetics.

Teen chorale provides special music at Monday's convocation

The Exaltation Chorale, an auditioned group of high school home school students based out of New York City, provided special music at Monday's convocation in the Vines Center. Liberty University convocations are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, giving students the opportunity to hear from well-known Christian leaders from the university and around the world.
