Flames reporter named new Carolina Panthers announcer

Flames Sports Network reporter Nick Pierce will be adding an additional responsibility to his broadcasting duties this fall, as he was recently named the new public address announcer for the Carolina Panthers.

This new opportunity with the NFL franchise will not preclude him from continuing his Liberty Flames broadcasting duties or serving as the audio coordinator for the Liberty Athletics Marketing office, positions he has held since 2005.

Pierce will be the third public address announcer in the 19-year history of the Panthers. He will announce all 10 of the Panthers’ 2013 home games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Additionally, the new employee of the Panther Vision department could also serve as the public address announcer for the ACC Championship game (Dec. 7) and the Belk Bowl (Dec. 26), two events the organization hosts during the final month of the year.
