Crews work to put a stage and technical equipment in place at Liberty University’s Arthur L. Williams Stadium in preparation for Saturday’s Commencement.
Liberty University has announced it will honor its largest graduating class — 6,350 — at Saturday’s Commencement. The administration is expecting more than 23,000 to attend the ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. at Arthur L. Williams Stadium.
Of this year’s graduates, 32 percent are residential students, and 68 percent will receive their degrees from Liberty University Online. About 3,390 students have planned to walk in Saturday’s ceremony.
The 6,350 graduates will receive degrees and certifications from the following: aeronautics (27), arts and sciences (2,284), business (964), communication (293), engineering and computational science (43), education (583), government (176), law (55), religion (685), seminary (975), Willmington School of the Bible (15), Liberty Home Bible Institute (21), Institute of Biblical Studies (2) and the Online Academy (24).
Ben Stein, a well-known creationist, speaker and actor, will give the commencement address.
