Arts professor presents at Oxford

Todd Smith, a professor at Liberty University, recently traveled to England to speak at Oxford University.

Smith, director of the Visual Communications Arts program at Liberty, spoke at Saint Hugh’s College, Oxford University, as part of a chapel lecture series focusing on the theme “Dominus Illuminatio Mea” (“The Lord is My Light”), which is the motto of Oxford University. The purpose of the series was to explore how faith in God acts as a “light” in today’s world. Smith’s presentation was titled “God and Art: A Trinitarian Approach.”

The lecture series, which ran for the duration of the term, featured speakers from a range of areas including science, theology, religion and culture, art and medicine.

The Visual Communication Arts program is part of the Department of Communication Studies, School of Communication, at Liberty University.
