Dr. Tim Clinton gave a motivational talk to Liberty students titled “Change Your Life” at Monday morning’s convocation service in the Vines Center. Clinton is the executive director of the Center for Counseling and Family Studies at Liberty University. He also serves as president of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Clinton’s talk focused on key steps in turning from a life that does not honor God to one that does, starting with recognizing responsibility and not blaming anyone or circumstances, to making the choice to be happy and keep the joy of the Lord in your heart, to deciding to leave the past in the past. “The past is not your past if it is affecting you today,” he said.
Clinton has written several books and journal articles on marriage and family counseling and has been invited to speak at conferences all over the country, including for Focus On The Family and the National Research Institute.
