Student Alumni Association hosts Christmas Rhythm party

Liberty University’s Student Alumni Association (SAA) gave students a chance to take a break during exam week Tuesday at its inaugural Christmas Rhythm party from 7-10 p.m. at the Tilley Student Center.

During the three-hour celebration, students enjoyed games, food and music while helping to provide for a variety of good causes. The SAA partnered with Campus SERVE, gathering donations of hats and scarves for the less fortunate in the Lynchburg area. Those attending the event also signed Christmas cards for the elderly and soldiers serving overseas. By night’s end, more than 200 cards were collected.

The SAA’s mission is to bridge the gap between current students and the university’s alumni by providing undergraduates with jobs, internships, career mentoring, on-campus activities and community outreach opportunities. The SAA will hold an informational meeting for students on Jan. 20 in room 1113 of the Arthur S. DeMoss Learning Center. For more information, please call (800) 628-7973.
