Polar Plunge at Camp Hydaway raises money for Special Olympics

The first-ever Liberty University Polar Plunge took place on Saturday at Camp Hydaway on Liberty Mountain. The event was sponsored by Liberty University Athletics and Ultimate LU in partnership with Virginia Special Olympics to help raise funds to meet area needs within the Lynchburg Special Olympics Program. There were 15 plungers, who helped raise $2,400. After the plunge, they were treated to hot chocolate.
