Five graphic designers with Liberty University’s Office of Promotional Publications have been awarded certificates of excellence in the 2011 American InHouse Design Awards.
The contest included more than 4,000 entries representing in-house design departments nationwide, with a highly selective 15 percent being recognized. Liberty designers won nine out of the 20 entries, or 45 percent of the competition.
The American InHouse Design Awards is the premier showcase for designers’ work. It is a unique opportunity for in-house design, marketing and communications departments within corporations, publishing houses, non-profits, universities and government agencies to be recognized for creativity, for the special challenges they face, and for their contributions to their businesses and institutions.
Past award winners include Aetna, Apple, BlueCross Blue Shield, Disney, Forbes Magazine, Geico Insurance, Harvard University, Yale University, Pepsi-Cola and Toyota.
The competition was organized by Graphic Design USA, which publishes a monthly magazine for creative design professionals. The group has been organizing design competitions for nearly five decades.
